The Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award — AlexPetzer

This annual visual arts competition was launched in 2006. The Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award aims to develop, celebrate, and promote young and emerging artists from the UAE. The competition includes five categories: Fine Art, Photography, Multimedia, Design and Architecture. A distinguished panel of industry professionals and senior practicing artists determined the winners, together with the public’s vote after a grand exhibition.

This was a high-profile project as it marked the events 10 year anniversary. I was approached to redesign the logo and update the look and feel across the brand and event. I was on-site to support the set-up for the Exhibition night, as well as the Gala Awards night, and developed UI designs for the exhibitions voting-screens, and competition website. The logo design and winning artworks were projected onto the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
